How to properly fit the Auro Grip to your paddle? Discover the two ideal methods.
The Auro Grip has been designed to help you improve your grip and gain greater control during play. But did you know there are two different ways to put it on your padel racket? In this article, we explain both methods step by step, so you can choose the one that best suits your style and level of play.
Before you start: prepare your Auro Grip
When your Auro Grip is new, it may feel a little tight. Therefore, we recommend stretching it slightly before applying it. This will make the process easier and allow you to fit it more precisely to the paddle handle.
Method 1: Letters “AURO” upwards
This first method is ideal for beginner players or those looking for a firm, stable grip.
Steps:
-
Position the grip with the letters “AURO” facing upwards , visible on the neck of the grip.
-
Align the grip along the straight central line of the paddle handle, so that you can achieve a perfect continental grip.
-
Adjust the grip height so that your pinky finger is just at the bottom edge of the handle .
✅ This method ensures consistent placement and is perfect if you're just starting out in padel and want to ensure good technique from the start.

Method 2: Letters “AURO” downwards
This second method offers more freedom and flexibility , making it ideal if you already have experience and want to adapt the grip to your own style.
Steps:
-
Place the grip with the letters “AURO” upside down.
-
In this case, guide your placement using the large raised “A” on the side of the grip.
-
Align that “A” with the center of the handle, as in the previous method.
-
Adjust the grip height so that your pinky finger touches the bottom edge of the handle , maintaining a comfortable and firm position.
✅ This method allows for small adjustments to the grip's rotation, which can help you fine-tune your grip in specific game situations.

Which method is best for you?
Both methods are designed to help you achieve an effective continental grip, but:
-
⏳ It might be a bit tricky at first and take a few minutes, but trust me: those minutes will save you hours of learning later on. A good grip improves your technique from minute one.
